A Word From The Author

Welcome to My Website

If you are like many other readers of Crime Fiction, I think you will find this site a refreshing change from the ordinary Detective Fiction that you may have been offered in the past. Good crime fiction has to include an air of mystery, a hint of sex, a strange and unusual plot all mixed together with violence, danger and surprises. Mine contain all these elements and more. They will take you on a trip through areas you never wanted to trespass in, acquaint you with issues and life styles you would rather avoid, present you with choices you may be afraid to make as you wind your way toward the finish line and a solution you never saw coming and activities you would never have imagined. Welcome to the real world that lies just beneath your feet and around the next corner. It is a place without rules, where the normal activities include mayhem, robbery, murder and all other avenues of violence that you can imagine. Many of them are combination efforts, including multiple criminal activities that include various members of the city’s elite and powerful that control most of what you will encounter.

There is a simple phrase that sums it up: Money, Influence, Power, Control. That is the secret that drives good people to go bad, and bad people to go worse. Their biggest quarry is the money, because with that, you can attain the other three.

Your next step is to find a comfortable seat, get a drink if you desire, open the book and read. You won’t be disappointed and you will be drawn into the mystery as you try to figure just who the antagonists really are, and what their real mission in the world of crime is.

About John Miller

He is a retired Army Pilot that accumulated a lot of adventures during his 40-year, career. Now he writes about the city where he grew up, and the adventures he was a part of. These adventures come from a combination of personal experiences, events he investigated, from the stories of others and issues that made the headlines. Most of these adventures related to crime, in one form or another.

The usual events covered assault, muggings, protection rackets, murder, prostitution, loan sharking, gambling, kidnapping, extortion and whatever could produce a profitable return. Criminals are like entrepreneurs; they’re always open to suggestions and new ways of making a "Buck".

The books cover the career of a Private Investigator, who gave up the security of a precision machinist, to follow the path of an investigator. Gum shoe, as some people call them.
